With so many
people living and working onboard the Africa
Mercy, repairs are always needed. Our carpenters are here to help with
that. Whether it be large repair projects working alongside the engine
department or assisting with furniture in the cabins, the carpenters are always
ready to lend their skills.
The Carpenter volunteer position, part of
the Deck Department, will be located on the Africa
Mercy, the world's
largest non-governmental hospital ship. The preferred minimum time commitment
for this role is twelve months, though shorter commitments may also be considered. We recommend all interested applicants to submit an
application six months in advance of your target service date. Commitments longer
than twelve months require successful completion of Mercy Ships On Boarding Program.
