Global Supply Chain Management Director

Coordinate and integrate supply chain best practices across Mercy Ships Operations (MSO), ensuring the operational needs of the vessel(s) and internal customers are satisfied.
Description:  Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To) • Direct the MSO Supply Chain operations and implement strategic and continuous improvement activities that ensure processes are efficient, effective, and compliant with applicable laws and organizational policies and procedures. • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to the on-going selection, development and implementation of supply chain tools throughout MSO. • Collaborate with National Offices to ensure International supply chain processes are consistent and aligned with the policies and needs of Mercy Ships Operations (MSO). • Collaborate with key stakeholders and the Supply Manager on each vessel to ensure that supply chain processes are consistent and aligned. • Supervise the Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics and Mailroom staff at the International Operations Center. • Manage supply chain data for accurate tracking and monitoring of products, specifically standardized product lists and vendor master data. • Oversee the customer order process to ensure clarity of the demand signal and alignment with procurement efforts, with clear communication, appropriate stewardship of resources, and timely supply to all Mercy Ships operating locations. • Oversee the development of a global supplier base that provides high quality products aligned with the standardized product lists at minimal cost or donation. • Set and track International Supply Operations departmental goals and objectives in line with MSO strategic priorities. Provide periodic reports to Senior Management as requested. • Carry out regular staff reviews in line with MS Human Resource policies to support the development of personnel. • Monitor expenditures against departmental budget and plans. Prepare and administer budgets and plans aligned with organizational strategy. • Other duties as assigned. Education And Experience . Minimum - Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline preferred. . Minimum of five (5) years senior management experience required, preferably in the supply chain field . Experience managing international teams. . Successful completion of Mercy Ships approved entry level training program.
