Supply Manager
Summary:  Responsible for overseeing the inventory and re-supply systems for all General and Hospital Stores on the ship. Collaborate closely with the supply departments at multiple Mercy Ships locations to ensure continuity and maximum efficiency of all supply chain processes.

It takes a lot to run a hospital ship. Luckily, our Supply department is always working hard to ensure we have enough supplies, at the right time, and in the right quantities so we can continue bringing hope and healing. 

The Supply Manager volunteer position, part of the Supply Department, will be located on the Africa Mercy, the world's largest non-governmental hospital ship. The preferred minimum time commitment for this role is two years. We recommend all interested applicants to submit an application at least six months in advance of your target service date. Commitments longer than ten months require successful completion of Mercy Ships On Boarding Program.

Qualifications Required:

  • Degree in management or supply chain discipline preferred 
  • Management experience required in inventory control and supply chain management
  • Experience in project management required
  • Experience in training personnel preferred
  • Strong organisational, planning, analytical, and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively
  • Basic knowledge of French is required; fluency preferred
